OWNERS COMMENTS
Jakdor is our beloved 1980 twin keeled Westerly Konsort 29. Sadly due to a change of circumstances we have not been able to use her this last season and have therefore reluctantly put her up for sale. She had a full survey in June 2023 which found her to be a good example, clean and structurally sound and valued at £18,000 (survey available on request). Since then all survey recommendations have been completed including a new fuel tank and gauge, new clear bulb fuel filter and new shaft seal. She also benefits from the additions of a wireless wind unit, new sail cover and solar panel to keep batteries fully charged. Her 20hp Beta engine was fitted in 2008, has done less than 300 hours and has been fully serviced annually. As a 1980 model she benefits from a bulkhead folding down table allowing the cabin to be unobstructed giving a spacious feeling to this already beamy boat. Her teak interior is in very good condition and bilges all remain bone dry. She currently resides in Bembridge Harbour with a berth until April 2026 and currently is in a ‘ready to go’ condition.

Brokers Comments
Here we have presented a fine example of the perennially popular Westerly Konsort 29 designed by the renowned Laurent Giles. Over 700 Konsorts were produced between 1979 and 1992 and Jakdor here is an early example rom 1980.
In a recent review Practical Boat Owner noted the Konsort as having "space, security and good performance" and added that as "one of the roomiest cruisers of her size, the Konsort is also known for her solidity, interior finish and easy manners."
This example, Jakdor, is a very good example having been well looked after by owners current and former. She benefits from her early origins in retaining the bulkhead mounted table rather than the later centre floor mounted type. This means that the already generous floor space of this beamy boat is entirely clear of obstructions giving plenty of usable space. On our recent visit there were three adult men sat on the benches, and we could have easily fitted another three in the cabin without it feeling overly cramped.
She is a "dry" boat with, in our opinion, an excellent teak interior. If you would like an easy to live with boat in "to go" condition Jakdor may well fit your bill.
Jakdor comes with a dinghy and benefits from a well documented maintenance and upgrade history including:
