Description

Gallant is a well maintained and updated Sigma 38 OOD in original Oyster white, with blue and gold boot topline and black antifouling. She has benefitted from lots of loving attention from her current owner, definitely an excellent example of this well loved and respected yacht.
The Sigma comes with an active owners association, a decent rating and proven ability for both inshore and offshore cruising and racing.

Gallant is a very capable yacht and in the time I have owned her she has never let me down, she’s been a delight to sail and I have looked after her making sensible upgrades. Gallant is an exciting boat to sail, and would be more than capable at competition level.

It’s an absolute wrench selling her, but sadly I am moving too far away so now I have to part with her.

Accommodation

Accommodation for up to 10 in 3 cabins. The saloon can accommodate 4 with two double aft cabins and a further double forward.

Single heads with shower and basin.

Small additional basin in owners cabin, port aft.

Hanging storage in all cabins plus stowage in lockers in aft cabins and behind saloon seating. The saloon has a large folding table which comfortably seats 6.

Galley to starboard features lpg oven,hob and grill, cool box with refigerator, double sink with hot and cold water.

Construction

Solid GRP hull with as original stiffening matrix bearing the keel and rig loads. The keel is lead / iron composite and fixed by 13 mild steel studs with backing washers.

Cored deck is solid in load bearing areas.

All halyards in good condition in 10mm Dyneema with snap shackle clips. Dyneema running backstays installed in place of the original wire rigging.
