The narrowboat Alfie K was built by Fox Narrowboats, a company with roots dating back to 1959 along the Old River Nene, marking the early days of the leisure boating industry. Fox Narrowboats became known for their distinctive style, especially the unique shape of the stem post, attributed to their founder, Charlie - one of the waterways' most memorable figures.

She has been carefully maintained, reflected in the current condition and presentation.

Designed to accommodate four, she offers a permanent double bed and two singles on bench seats at the aft.

The saloon at the fore provides a cosy atmosphere with two comfortable arm chairs, and the galley is equipped with a brand new oven & grill, gas hob and under counter fridge. In the shower room, there is a shower cubicle, washbasin and pump out toilet.

Cabin warmth is provided by a Morso ‘Squirrel’ solid fuel stove complete with a back boiler and a diesel boiler could be added to replace the inoperative gas boiler if desired. Hot water is heated by engine and immersion.

A Mastervolt 2.5kW inverter provides 230V power when cruising, and the batteries can be kept topped up by the 100A charger and two solar panels.
