IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT WE ARE ENTERING UNPRECEDENTED TIMES. THE PRIORITY IS TO KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE. WE ARE BEING ADVISED AGAINST UNNECESSARY TRAVEL SO WITH THIS IN MIND WE ARE OFFERING FACETIME AND WHATSAPP VIDEO CALLING AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO PHYSICAL VIEWINGS.
"Bonsu" is a good example of what is considered to be the "baby" of the extremely popular Fisher range. She has all the attributes of her larger sisters and has the distinctive combination of a ketch rig and mid-ship timber planking which makes the brand instantly recognisable.
This particular model has a been modernised over the years and had a refit in 1998. Her hull was repainted in navy blue, her engine replaced with a Volvo Penta 2030 and her electronics upgraded with a colour chart plotter and radar.
Internally she is in sound condition with the internal linings, woodwork and fabrics in an overall serviceable state.Age has finally caught up with the owner so externally the woodwork requires a varnish and the hull would benefit from a polish. The vessel is ashore and will remain so until sold.
Although compact, there is accommodation for 5 persons over the saloon and fore cabin. The wheelhouse is entered from the cockpit via a sliding teak door. Excellent visibility due to the large windows and there is lots of natural light from the additional hatch in the wheelhouse roof. Fold down helm seat. Engine access below floor.
Two steps down into cabin. To port is the L-shaped seating area with red draylon covered foam upholstery. The table drops down to convert this area into a comfortable double berth. There is padded back rests with storage behind. On the bulkhead forward of the helm there is a Taylors, diesel fired stove with external chimney. This is very efficient and keeps the boat very warm indeed.Opposite the seating area is the small galley with gas fuelled Calor Gas oven with 2-burner hob and grill. There is a stainless steel sink with pressurised fresh water. Water is stored in a flexible tank under forward berth. Aft of the galley is a sizeable quarter berth.
Between the saloon and the forecabin is the heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet. Opposite is a large storage cupboard with louvered door. In the forepeak is a V berth with well upholstered cushions. The fabrics match those in the saloon. Opening deck hatch for ventilation. 12V reading lights. Owner has fitted additional teak grab handles.
Opening ports in galley and heads. Curtains in saloon.
