1958 Bjarne Aas IOD Uffa Fox once described International One Designs as lovely little ships, with lines as elegant as a smelts. They are indeed beautiful with long overhangs creating graceful lines evoking the larger classic sailing yachts of the 1930s when the IOD was conceived.
